Growth of business is not linear.
Just working hard does not take you from the botton left hand corner to the top right hand corner.

There are many things plotting against your intent but these are the major ones:
- Leadership – you will always be in need of new and rising talent to take over the roles you are creating from your growth. Better to develop your own from your ranks of talent. But times you must go out to get the best leaders for your roles.
- Scaleable Infrastructure – the ability to ramp up your internal processes and technology yo cope with your growth. Instaed of just what you need now, is to imagine what you will need to tomorrow and future growth
- Market Awareness – being aware of the major players in your market place- including competitors, suppliers and most importantly core customers. Be out there talking rather than navigating your business growth from behind a desk
- Marketing (and Sales) – you have got to ask what are you doing differently, to get the increase you a have projected. Remember hope is nota strategy. What will fil the gap you have created from what happened yesterday and what you expect to happen in the future.
